Awards and HonorsWe proudly announce that the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) awarded the Business School Impact System (BSIS) label to Koç University College of Administrative Sciences and Economics (CASE) and the Graduate School of Business (GSB). Koç University became the first institution which has been awarded the BSIS label in Türkiye, confirming its exceptional impact in Istanbul, in the national context, and beyond.
François Bonvalet , the chair of BSIS, praised Koç University and stated, "We congratulate Koç University’s College of Administrative Sciences and Economics and Graduate School of Business for earning for the first time the BSIS label, affirming their very impactful contributions to student success and societal development with a commitment to diversity, innovation, and sustainable practices, their holistic approach to education with an outstanding faculty resonates through their curriculum, collaborations, and initiatives, enriching both the global market and local communities.”
The Dean of Koç University's College of Administrative Sciences and Economics Prof. Şuhnaz Yılmaz Özbağcı stated, "We gave impetus to our BSIS efforts and successfully completed a very comprehensive assessment in a very special year as the Turkish Republic celebrated the 100th and Koç University celebrated the 30th anniversary of their foundation. At Koç University, while striving for excellence in research and teaching, we are also committed to fostering a positive impact on society by cultivating responsible leaders working towards a sustainable future. The BSIS process provided us with valuable insights regarding our impact and opportunities for improvement. Obtaining the BSIS label is a testament to our outstanding contributions locally and internationally."
The Director of the Graduate School of Business Prof. Nilüfer Aydınoğlu added, “We regard the BSIS community as a profound source of inspiration to enhance our role as a bridge between our academic, corporate, and social partners and all community stakeholders. The BSIS assessment covers numerous areas such as student admissions, research and educational impact, job market outcomes, and contributions to the local economy. The impact of a business school is analysed based on financial, educational, and business development impact as well as intellectual, societal, and image contributions as well as impact within the regional ecosystem.
