Koç University Summer Research Program For High School Students

Lise Öğrencileri İçin Koç Üniversitesi Yaz Araştırma Programı

Who can benefit from this program?

This program is for motivated high school students who want to sharpen their research skills and plan to attend research oriented universities.

Program Features

Students will have the opportunity to work closely with our faculty at fully-equipped laboratories. The program offers high school students the opportunity to learn new research techniques and gain experience that will help improve independent thinking and creativity.

If accepted to a program there is no cost to the student for tuition. Students will be offered on campus accommodation in shared dorms (1/4) free of charge.

Students will have free access to all campus facilities including gym, library and dining facilities. Students are responsible for all other living expenses.

Students are expected to have health insurance and are responsible for their own health care expenses.


2017 program applications will be taken into consideration in January.

Program Dates

The program will run for 4 weeks in the summer of 2017. The dates are as follows:

First Group: 3 July - 28 July, 2017 (4 Weeks)

Second Group: 31 July - 25 August, 2017 (4 Weeks)

Eligibility Criteria

Students must;

  • Have completed Year 9
  • Have good academic standings
  • Be recommended by their schools
  • Continue their high school education next year

Required Documents

  • Application Form
  • Application Confirmation Form
  • CV in English
  • Transcript
  • 2 recommendation letters from school teachers (Turkish or English)
  • Statement of purpose written by the student in English
  • One passport-sized photo
