What Covid-19 measures are in place on campus?

  • Temperature checks will be performed at the main entrance. Individuals whose temperature is 38°C or above will not be allowed to enter the campus.
  • All elevators are marked will capacity warnings and floor signage to ensure social distancing.
  • All buildings and elevator entrances are equipped with disposal bins for waste such as masks and gloves.
  • All common areas and halls are equipped with sanitisers.
  • An online Covid-19 Training Module is available for staff and researchers. A new training module will be available for students soon.
  • Informative banners and posters are located in various areas across the campus.
  • Common areas such as the Post Office, main entrance security checkpoint, and food areas are marked with social distancing signage.
  • Cleaning frequencies have been increased.
  • Shuttle and bus services have been adjusted in line with the decisions of the Ministry of Health and Koç University administration.

What happens if an individual on campus is tested positive for Covid-19?

If an authorised healthcare institution diagnoses a Covid-19 case, the area will be closed off for disinfection and denied access until disinfection is completed. The treatment and self-isolation period for the diagnosed case will be determined in line with current guidelines. The case will also be monitored by the Healthcare Centre’s tracing team. Individuals who are identified as close contacts will also have to self-isolate in accordance with the current guidelines.

What should I do if I come into contact with a person diagnosed with Covid-19?

Individuals who have come into close contact with a Covid-19 positive case must be medically examined. Such individuals should contact the Healthcare Centre and the tracing team will make an assessment and refer the individual as necessary.
