New Hope in MS Treatment

ResearchFrom the School of Medicine, our student Ege Anıl, Prof. Yasemin Gürsoy Özdemir, and colleagues published their research on the treatment of multiple sclerosis (MS), one of the leading causes of disability in young adults, in Frontiers in Cellular Neuroscience. Using a model called PLP-induced EAE to study potential treatments for multiple sclerosis (MS) disease progression, the team proposed a possible new therapeutic target by blocking a channel in pericyte cells with a molecule called Carbenoxolone (CBX) that reduces fibrosis.

Autobiographical phenomenology of memories of fiction
Our PhD student Osman Görkem Çetin and Prof. Sami Gülgöz from the Department of Psychology published a study in the journal Memory, which aimed to examine the similarities and differences between real-life memories and fictional memories.
